Chavez Justin is Chairman's Reserve Ultimate Karaoke's Champion 2011!
Chavez Justin won the Chairman's Reserve Ultimate Karaoke Competition 2011 at the Grand Finals held on Wednesday 5th September at the National Cultural Center. Chavez Justin competed with nineteen participants in a Competition which featured some of the best vocalist on the island. At the end of the competition Mr. Justin was awarded the grand prize of EC$2,500.00 in cash, a Trophy and Drinks Hamper.
The second place winner was Andreas Francis who also won the Most Dynamic Performer receiving the prize of EC$1,500.00 in cash, a Trophy, Drinks Hamper and a case of Red Bull, while the third place went to Miss Nattadia Joseph who also received EC$1,000.00 in cash, a Trophy and Drinks Hamper.
The Event which drew a massive crowd began at 9.00 pm impressing the audiences from the start with the high standard of the performers as they provided quality entertainment to all patrons and supporters which was the objectives of the Sponsors. The reaction from the audiences at the end of the show indicated that it was one of the best shows produced and recommended that it continue in the coming years.
A representative of St. Lucia Distillers, who are the Organisors and Sponsor of the Event through their brand Chairman's Reserve Rum, expressed their appreciation to all the Participants, Patrons and Bar Owners for their support of the Event which was held throughout the island over the two month period. They assured all present that they will be working on hosting the Ultimate Karaoke Competition 2012 which is expected be bigger and better.
The prizes were presented to the Winners by Mrs. Margaret Monplaisir, and Executive Director at St. Lucia Distillers who also congratulated the winners on their great performances. At the end of the Event all the finalist expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to portray their talent and is looking forward to participating again next year.

Chairman's Reserve Spiced Prominent at Notting Hill Carnival
On Monday 29th August, London held the annual Notting Hill Carnival attracting thousands of revelers and spectators. Organisers say the event was one of the best in years and 'has allowed Londoners to reclaim the streets' after recent riots.
Chairman's Reserve Spiced, was a Major Sponsor at this year's Carnival where thousands of people lined the route and more than 70 floats, dancers and drummers wound their way through the usually quiet streets of Notting Hill in west London. Others congregated in the network of side roads where scores of sound systems created a patchwork of smaller participation. Chairman's Reserve Rum was the sponsor of the 80 piece Metronomes Steel Pan which was featured on the main route.
A Carnival which is dominated by the Caribbean culture and traditions attracted 800,000 people this year and was a huge success. Chairman's Reserve continues to have a positive impact on the London market!

St. Lucia Distillers Company Wins More International Medals in 2011!
St. Lucia Distillers has won more medals for their rums at two competitions held in London recently. Admiral Rodney won Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge for the third year running. In addition two new brands were entered into international competitions with Chairman's Reserve – "The Forgotten Casks" and 1931 – "A Celebration of 80 years of St. Lucian Rum Making" both winning gold medals in The International Wine & Spirits Competition. Chairman's Reserve – "The Forgotten Casks" won the Gold Medal and "Best in Class" beating over 100 other rums from all over the world.
These new brands will be launched locally in November in time for the festive season.
Lucia Distillers is also proud to announce that J. Sainsbury, the UK's third largest Supermarket group with 934 stores, will list Chairmen's Reserve from October. Waitrose Supermarkets have also added Chairman's Reserve Spiced to their listing of Chairman's Reserve giving the brand comprehensive retail distribution in the U.K. market.
Chairman's Reserve is fast becoming a worldwide brand and is now being exported to the U.K. U.S.A., Canada, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Scandinavia, Australia and the Caribbean.

Wins International Spirits Challenge 2010 Gold Medals
St. Lucia Distillers Company Limited’s new product Chairman’s Spice Rum which was recently launched at the London Imbibe 2010 Trade Show has won a Gold Medal in its first entry at the International Spirits Challenge 2010. The British “Imbibe” magazine which launched their first exhibition in London indicated that 12,500 drinks professionals were pre-registered for the Imbibe 2010 Trade Show in which the Organisors would feature premium drinks brands world wide.
Chairman’s Spice which is an addition to the famous Chairman’s Reserve rum was designed to introduce another fine rum with authentic Caribbean spices such as Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg and other ingredients. The Brand which will be formally launched in St. Lucia, United States, Australia, Italy and Spain in the coming months, is expected to appeal to Chairman lovers and add to the impressive line of products which are produced by St. Lucia Distillers. As part of the Exhibition tastings were also conducted and Elements 8 Platinum Rum was judged the top white Rum in the United Kingdom by the panel, scoring the highest rating.
TOZ White Gold Rum also won a Gold Medal with Admiral Rodney Rum taking a Silver Medal and Chairman’s Reserve taking a Bronze Medal. St. Lucia Distillers were congratulated for its fantastic achievement with a higher number of products being entered across the Board in the 2010 International Spirits Challenge.
Trophies for the top scoring gold medallists, the best design and packaging, the best distilleries, retailers and buyers will all be awarded at the International Spirits Challenge dinner on Monday 8th November at the Five Star London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London.
Chairman’s Reserve Country Train Grand Finals
The Chairman’s Reserve Country Train ended its journey with the hosting of its Grand Finals at the Prio’s Country Place on Saturday June 5th with a massive crowd of over 1200 patrons. The Event which began at 8.00 p.m. featured 9 couples from Communities Island wide who won their preliminary round in their respective districts and was looking forward to capturing the grand prize on the night.
At the end of the evening and after a number of dance competitions Samantha Clement and Joseph Pologne emerged Champions and winning the grand prize of EC$1,000.00, a Drinks Hamper, Dinner at the Royal St. Lucian Hotel and the Trophy.
The 2nd place winners were Jules Arthur and Cynthia Williams receiving EC$500.00, Drinks Hamper, Dinner at the Rendezvous Hotel and a Trophy followed by Vanessa St. Brice and Curtis Mc Kain in 3rd place with the prizes of EC$300.00, Drinks Hamper/$100.00 Voucher from Super J and a Trophy
The Chairman’s Reserve Country Train Event which is in its third year is expected to continue as it has provided the much enjoyed environment for the Country & Western lovers throughout St. Lucia. The Organisors have expressed their appreciation to all the venues throughout the island who have worked with them to ensure that the Event is a success as well as the participants. They have indicated that they are already planning its train for 2011.
